My Thanksgiving Tables and What I Wore from Artful Home

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families and friends.  We had 25 people which included three dogs and five children. We had a beautiful day so we were able to set up a children’s table and a parents table outside. The children were delightful and the dogs well behaved.  Here are the two tables that I set up inside.  This year I picked a lighter autumnal scheme for my dining room table and  loved the outcome. I wouldn’t shy away from using a similar “outside the box” scheme for Christmas be creative!

My long box (crafted from old fenceboards by our friend Steve) is filled with eucalyptus, vibernum berries, coffee berries, hydrangea, gold mums, apples, orange beets, lavendar, alstromeria and various greens from my yard.

The chargers are from Pier 1 several years ago.  The blue napkins are from Pottery Barn many years ago.

The napkins are tied with double faced satin ribbon with a simple nametag, coffee berries and a fall leaf.  The plates are from Anthropologie here.

In our almost completed Great Room (more on that later) I set a small table for four.  The plates are from Pier 1 here.

The seagrass chargers are from Pottery Barn here

I layered a blue linen throw from Pom Pom at home that I have owned for a couple of years.
You can find on OKL here.  The vase is from Wisteria in Soquel. It is filled with sunglowers, autumn leaves, delphinium, and pomegranetes and pyracantha berries from my yard.

The napkin rings are over 25 years old.  The blue napkins are from Pier 1 and the gold napkins I have had for several years, along with the goblets and flatware. The nametags are printed on simple paper bag paper.  I prefer simple tags with natural elements added.

Last but not least what I wore. I absolutely HATE getting my picture taken but I wanted you to see how flattering this Noblu Pucker Drawsting Dress is. Note the bugees in the front and back that can be hiked up or down to alter the shape of the hem.  Here it is on someone gorgeous

and on someone over 60 with a “less than perfect” body.

I wore it paired with an ancient Michael Kors Motorcycle Jacket, leggings, and my comfortable Earth booties.

and this fabulous felted wool Marissa scarf from Artful Home.

I am absolutely crazy about this scarf.  Artful Home has a scarf and wrap boutique running now until the end of December.  All scarves and wraps are artist made so you won’t see a hundred people walking around wearing your the same scarf.  You can check it out here.
I hope you weren’t bored to tears by the length of this post.  I just wrapped up decorating the Pour House.  More on that in an upcoming post.
*I have been compensated for this post by Artful Home but the opinions are my own.

Cindy ~~ you absolutely rocked that dress! You look better than the model!
Your tables are fabulous, what a good idea to have that "box" made, did you use oasis? Is it lined to hold water? I love all of the colors and textures you used, I'll bet your guests had a hard time taking their eyes off of that beauty.

I also love your 4-top, I have those same square plates and just love them. Your deep blue vase with the yellow flowers is stunning.

Not too long at all, thank you for sharing!

    And you look wonderful!

    Happy holidays!

Cindy you are adorable!! And so chic and fun in that outfit! Why the heck are you so shy about pictures, although I have to admit I feel the same way. I'm really enjoying your fashion posts btw. Also your tablescapes are exquisite, I'm so glad you had a wonderful thanksgiving …you deserve it ❤️

You look fabulous! I think the gray hair is the best accessory. Can't believe you had TWENTYFIVE!!! people and are alive to report that fact. The last time I did Christmas, I had 12 with multiple courses (and dishes up the wazzoo that took me three days to clean up) and I said, you know what, I've done this gig for over 30 years and I am done. I've passed the torch on the next generation. It's amazing how simpler the holiday meals have become (ha ha)!!!!

Thank you so much for the gray hair comment! Yep the three day cleanup is about right! Fortunately there are several good cooks in the group so I have help! Happy Holidays!!

Pam you are such a sweetie…I hate posing and being photographed. Happy Holidays!! Loved the spread in BH&G. I don't take the magazine but my 93 year old dad does!!

I love the outfit and you wear it ever bit as well as the younger model. What a fun day you had. We had a fun Thanksgiving too with the family and 2 granddaughters.
Don't you love this time of year?!

Beautiful table and decorations, now you know how I feel every day with five children, minus one dog as we just have the two! The dress looks utterly stunning on you, love it with the boots. X
