Happy Thanksgiving and Giving Thanks

This is the door to our home at the lake.  I bought this great pack basket at Remnants of the Past http://www.remnantsofthepast.com/ from my buddy Kelley of the Polished Pebble http://ppebble.blogspot.com/  Thanks Kelley I love it!

I filled my big driftwood bowl at the lake house with these pumpkins from Jack Creek Farms in Paso.

The tables are set
In our game room we put a piece of ply board over our pool table, cover it with a burlap tablecloth and bring in our wicker chairs from outside. This year I layered it with a cowhide, and made a simple arrangement with my wicker covered bottles and olive branches.

I pirated the napkin ring idea from Kim McCaumber here  http://kimmacumberinteriors.blogspot.com/2013/11/prepping-for-thanks.html .

Isn’t she clever? These ornaments are  from Walmart $1.99.  Aren’t they fabulous! Use them as napkin rings or hang them on the tree later!!

We are having a total of 21 guests.  I thought it would be fun to set up a table in the entryway for five.

This throw (layered over a burlap tablecloth) is normally on my sofa.

Leaves and berries were gathered from my garden.

The dining room doesn’t vary much from year to year.  I almost always use this Paisley Tablecloth from Pottery Barn.

Gratitude. What I am thankful for
I would like to thank all of you for reading my blog and taking the time to make such thoughtful responses.   It has been such a busy year for me work wise and some times I am tempted to give up the blog.  Plainly and simply you guys keep me going!! I am so thankful for that!  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Are you cooking or are you lucky enough to have someone else do the cooking?  What are your favorite Thanksgiving treats?
