Fun With Summer
We are so thrilled that Summer was able to come visit us for six days in between all of her activities and her return to school. She is an incoming first grader. Scout is going to be very depressed when she returns home.
Fresh Etto Ravioli with Garden Tomatoes & Corn
We are so lucky to have the wonderful Etto Pastificio just a few minutes from our home. Whenever we are in the mood for pasta we grab some from their shop. We have an over abundance of tomatoes from the garden and I had some leftover fresh corn, so I used this recipe from good eggs for dinner.

Tulsishop is the bees’ knees. Love her look. Elegant and colourful.
Scout is beautiful and has grown no end! What a sweet little girl is Summer. My grandson is into Grade One at the end of January here in Australia. He turned six this last week and we’ve had such fun celebrating. I adore him.

Wasn’t it wonderful to have Summer!!! There is nothing better than when a grandchild sends time with you!!! Our 17 year old granddaughter spent the summer with us while she was working for an environmental studies program!! We were so lucky & loved every minute!!

I really need to go “scout” out the Tin City area again since I think that’s where Etto is. Your pasta creation looks tasty and not too heavy while the evenings are still hot. I know how much you are enjoying Summer and I know she is loving having your yard to explore, the pool and Scout.

Yes!! That mushroom sauce is to die for! I often add a few of their mighty cap mushrooms to the sauce. It’s a great sauce to have when you don’t want to cook!!
Great pics of Summer and Scout. It looks like they are right at home with one another. I can certainly understand why Scout would get depressed without her. How about you guys, a little blue too? It’s hard when your loved depart your home.

Brave and Bold! Nothing boring about Kates home! Nothing boring with precious grandchildren or a dog either. However I’m tired as well as the rest of the country with hot August days. There are so many outside events to join but it is too hot for comfort! Fall will be welcome.
The painters have finished with three days of painting the inside of our house. Sometimes is sounded like a fiesta with music, laughter and conversation.
OMGosh! I’ve around fifty paintings in my collection to rehang. Naturally changing the placement, editing, switching color palettes is mind boggling. The most difficult part is which pieces of artwork will go into storage, cause I’m fond of them all.
Now I need go reread everything before hammering in nails for the rest of the Art.
