Instagrammers who Rock the Collected Look In Their Gardens

Mary Ann, Annie and I each in our own way embrace a collected look in our decorating styles.  Collectively we coined a hashtag #thecollectedlook on Instagram a few months ago.  We invite everyone to follow and use our hashtag and share their collective style.  Each week each of us picks a favorite and we feature them on our feed.  We have had a lot of fun with this so we decided to do a feature on our blogs of some feeds you might enjoy following.  Let’s take a look today at Instagrammers who Rock the Collected Look in their Gardens. A little beauty will be good for our souls.

Instagrammers who rock the collected look in their gardens

A Collected look has personality, interest, and history. Collecting and gathering things from your travels, flea markets, and or art galleries creates a sense of where you have been and where you are going. This can hold true for your garden as well.  Create winding paths of different materials, add structure with old or handcrafted arbors, and fences.  Create seating areas and resting places with items from different eras and styles.  Your garden will be more interesting if you use your imagination and add your own personal style.

This gorgeous luxury vacation rental in Provence @provencepoirers  is surrounded by gorgeous mature gardens in the typical French style (a personal favorite of mine).  Interesting furnishings and pottery from the region are scattered about the grounds.

What beautiful gardens. They all look like such serene retreats. Places to go to to escape the world and all the hustle and bustle.

Gardens are so good for the soul aren’t they Lorna. I am using this time to spiff mine up a bit. It is doing wonders for my sanity.

Still too cold and wet to garden here in Kansas. I’ve always said that only way to be a four season gardener in Kansas is winter reading. and now with the internet gardens are green around the world at any time. I have just come to grips that I will not be planting this spring season. We are on “lock down” in our county. And while Home Depot and the hardware stores are open, we are staying away. My home grown tomatoes may have to be the large bag of dried tomatoes I ordered earlier that I am resurrecting with olive oil! We got our first local grocery delivery yesterday. Telling was what was unavailable: milk, eggs, TP, Bounty and strangely those organic frozen green beans in the steamer bag. I thought I was the only one who used those! We also got our first home delivered prescription from our pharmacy. Just a note: if you use these local delivery services, please tip well.

      Hi Patricia
Such good advice to tip the local people who are suffering through this time. I have been trying to support our brick and mortars whenever I can. We do not want to lose these small businesses that are so vital to our community.

Cindy, This was so enjoyable. I read it during my quarantine lunch and it was the best escape. I now have more beautiful accounts to follow! Thank you. One thing that we can do is garden right now- or at least work out there and these accounts can let us dream! xx

Beautiful post, Cindy. Those gardens are gorgeous. However, you own garden could give any one of these gardens a run for their money. Yours wins first prize in my book!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Gail

How are things? Thank you so much for the sweet comment. I am working on my garden during this time. Holly Boyle inspired me to order some seeds! I haven’t grown things from seed in years but think this is a great time to give it another shot!!
