Blurred Lines….

I haven’t seen a house in awhile that literally made my heart go pitter patter, or that I would like to copy all of the details and pretend they were my own….

This house by Melle design  , as well as this house by Barbara Colvin, and this one by the inimitable Wendy Owen  were long favorites…

Now this wonderful house by Hillary Thomas is my new best friend…

Hillary  designed this wonderful retreat for her family in the bucolic St. Helena in Napa Valley.

She took full advantage of bringing the outdoors in

and the indoors out…

blurring the lines between the two spaces…

I adore the sculptural quality of the oversized light fixtures…

It's just fabulous! I love the way the outdoors and inside blend so well. The dining table, wicker chairs and statement light fittings caught my attention too on your Instagram account.

Cindy i love Hilary's designs. And could you imagin being her guest ushered out to one of those sweet cottages, I love the rich extérior, the only thing I am not fond of it the twin Palm trees, I have never been a fan of them, and without the palms more attention would be on the flow of the pool right up to the doors of these cottages.

Love all the designers you have shared here, so inspires me to move and start over 🙂

    Hi Cindy,
Barbara Colvin's style has long been a favorite of mine. This house, when I perused Traditional Home last evening, stopped me in my tracks. I love the area the home is in and the rustic touches, with the right amount of inviting comfort is pure perfection. When I see a home like this I have to revisit several times a month just to study the beauty!
    xo,
