My friend Pat and I have attended the Trad Home Napa Showhouses since their inception; missing only one year I believe. The first two we attended were my favorites. You can find those posts here and here. Our friend Mary Ann has joined us the past two years. We both posted on last years here and here . This year's home is owned by the Peju family and is located in the Carneros district. Mary Ann posted a couple weeks ago here. I have not read her post so it will be fun to see ...

A Study in Neutrals- Beth Webb in Traditional Home and Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles
If you have been reading my blog long you know that Beth Webb is probably at the head of my list of favorite designers. I was delighted to see one of Beth Webb's recent projects featured in Traditional Home this month. The entire issue is wonderful but this house under Beth's skillful eye is a stunner. Friday Fun Stuff …Michael Fogg-Master of Faux Bois
Faux Bois is a French term meaning "false wood" Although the French are credited with giving this art a name, there are examples to be found that far predate the existence of France as a nation. The art of ferrocement faux bois is a combination of steel and concrete: Portland cement mixes are applied to a steel framework, and then sculpted by hand to resemble natural wood.. Only a handful of artists still continue to practice this fabulous art form. I first spotted Michael Fogg’s work in ...
