Friday Fun Stuff More Photos of our Home in Tuscan Style

Since the magazine has been on the shelves for almost three months I thought I would share the rest of the photos from Tuscan Style shot by the amazing  John Granen http://www.johngranen.com/gallery.php?page=seattle-interior-photographer-, and styled by the wonderful Bonnie Broten.

I love this shot John took of the door going into the wine room with the bouganvilla in full bloom.

Our Wine Room.  This room has enjoyed many incarnations.  It began it’s life as my husband’s workshop, then morphed into a workout room.  When my son got married at our home we decided to turn it into a wine room.  We saved money by  salvaging the original concrete floors.  We scored and stained them.  The counters are constructed of old barn flooring from a barn in Pennsylvania. The beams are also from an old barn.  One of Steve’s guys built the cabinets and I painted and aged them.  The door to the wine cellar was a left over from one of Steve’s vendors.  We had local artisan Bob Signorello due the ironwork on the door to make it more interesting.

The beautiful painting in the background is by Pat Huber.  The wine on the left is from one of our favorite Paso Wineries Villa Creek.

Several people have emailed me and asked about the lighting in the kitchen.  It was made in Mexico over 20 years ago as was the cabinet hardware. The cabinets were built by Hattersley Construction.  The ceilings and beams were sandblasted, the beams hand azed, then  whitewashed and scraped also over 20 years ago. The counters are concrete overlay by Brenda Davis http://www.brendadavispainting.com.  The new backsplash is Meditteranean 9 by Tabarka Studios http://tabarkastudio.com/tile-collections/mediterranean/

Cindy, there is not a thing I don't LOVE about your home!
It's an amazing home and the neutral palet, the washed and weathered designs, the iron work, the lightening, and the flow invites and shows up to greet you with rustic grace and beauty.

I love that you added a salt glazed pot in the bedroom on the night table, it adds rustic romance to your room.

Thank you for this beautiful share….. Now when can I move in ??

Wow, gorgeous pictures, gorgeous house, Cindy! The more I see of your style, the more I am convinced that I need to ply you with enough Pinot Noir that you will come to my house and redecorate it!! I LOVE the old wooden boxes. Did you paint any of them or are those original colors?
