When I received my recent box from Details Direct I was caught a bit off guard. Both of the tops are a bit “out of my wheelhouse”. I never wear stripes and I never wear blue. However, I do love Planet, I know stripes are quite the thing, and almost everyone loves blue. So I said to myself get with it Cindy! This planet sweater fits like a dream and is very flattering. It also comes in gray and khaki. If I were styling it for Over 50 Fashion Fun. Here is what I would do.
I would try these faux leather leggings from Spanx, these great Seychelles slides,this gorgeous French Kande Cuvee Royal Necklace that I have been coveting from Details Direct) and this great alligator crossbody bag from Brahmin (also from details direct). I
Here is the Planet Sweater on me in blue, not quite as fabulous on me as it is on the lovely model!
I am wearing it with these great Sympli Diva leggings (which I own) and this fun french kande necklace. I am wearing my trusty korkease audrina sandals for comfort, a great pair of booties would work as well, once our weather cools off.
In this picture, I am wearing the Planet Cozy Stripe Sweater. It is super soft, very forgiving, and a great weight for early fall.
Note the bute button detail on the Sympli Diva Leggings. I love these. I am also wearing the versatile French Kande Long Tassel Necklace and this great bracelet from Details Direct as well. Horizontal Stripes are not the greatest on me for the same reason you mentioned. This sweater was suprisingly slimming however!

Hi Pal! I am starting to get a little more daring as I age. I certainly don’t want to look like a cougar but I don’t want to look like a granny either. I bet you would look fab in those faux leather leggings but I understand wanting something a little more tame as well.

I really love the blue on you! If you saw the way I look right now (just finished a big sanding project) you wouldn’t give a S**t what I think, but you look great in that tunic!. just saying 😉

I love Planet by Lauren G. They are so comfy and stylish. I think you look fab in that blue. I know it may be out of your comfort zone but it looks great on you. I also love the strips.

I love the longer length of these sweaters! I hate wearing anything that cuts off in the middle. Is Details Direct different than Stitch Fix? I tried that and didn’t care for the quality of clothes for the price. What you are showing looks lovely.
