Project Design-Five Instaworthy Takes on Holiday Wrap

Welcome!  Maryann (Classic Casual Home, Annie (Most Lovely Things) and I are back with the latest installment in our Project Design Series. Do you need some fresh ideas for your holiday wrap?  My family room is neutral with some black, grey and red so I usually look for wrap ideas that work within that color scheme.

I find great wrapping paper at Marshall’s every year.  They always have great papers and ribbons. You can find similar gray and white stripe paper here at Hobby Lobby, similar faux bois wrapping paper ,  polka dot paper ,  metallic french wire ribbon, and  narrow red velvet ribbon at Amazon. You can download the gift tags from Holly Maher Creative here.

These packages are from Farmers Union Pour House from last year.  I will probably do something very similar there this year.  You can find similar lime green wrapping paper and black striped ribbon, and burlap ribbon on Amazon. The tags are made from their beer coasters.  You could make your own by having a stamp made with your family name or monogram and order the unstamped version on Amazon .

These packages are from 2014.  The wrap all came from Marshalls, as well as the ribbons and tags.

The bells came from Michaels.  I added fresh greenery here and there from my yard.  If you would like to see more of  How to use Indigenous Organic Materials to Decorate  Your Home, my Christmas home tour from 2014 click below. You can find similar polka dot paper from Sugar Paper at Target, grey metallic paper from Amazon, and red stripe craft paper at Papermart

In 2016 I used the same palette but mixed it up a little bit, adding the gold and white polka dot paper, jute twine (always an economical option), and nametags I made using animal stamps on craft paper.

For many years I participated in a local Christmas Tour.  Here are some of the packages from the 2014 Tour. The lumberjack paper can be found on Amazon, this herringbone paper from Target would be a good substitute for the snowflake paper.  I think I might add it to my mix this year.j

I had intended to get my current packages wrapped for this post but my dad has been in the hospital.  It was touch and to but he has rallied a bit and will be going to rehab in a couple days.  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Please stop by and check out the other talented bloggers who have joined us for Project Design Five Insta Worthy Takes on Holiday Wrap.

You are so great at gift wrapping, Cindy!!! Glad to hear your dad is doing better…I didn’t want to bother you about it. Using the coasters as tags is so clever. And I love that apple green with the black. Wish I could go out into your garden for some pretty natural gift wrapping accessories!
