Welcome to Project Design! If you are new to Project Design, Maryann from Classic Casual Home and I have been taking on these simple projects with different groups of bloggers since 2015. We are so happy that our friend Annie from Most Lovely Things will also be joining us on as a permanent member of our group . We love having her fresh eye and clean modern aesthetic. This month we are featuring five bloggers with five fresh tablescapes you can try right now.
This time of year we really enjoy having a simple dinner in front of our outdoor fireplace. It cools off earlier so it is a great time to enjoy the fire. When I set the table the fog hadn’t cleared so it looks a bit gloomy.
Thankfully I took a few photos inside before I set the table up. The Centerpiece is composed of sunflowers, hydrangeas, dusty miller, Japanese maple, yarrow, unripe pomegranates and other greens from my yard.
I have three collapsable roundtables (purchased inexpensively here) that I use when we have large groups. I can throw burlap tablecloths on them and layer whatever I choose. You can buy them inexpensively here. Here I layered it with the Pottery Barn Eyelet Table throw in gray (no longer online but somes stores still have them), and the Anton paisley table runners in neutral. I have had the Tava chargers from Pottery Barn for years but they are still available. The Glenna dinner plates are from Anthro and still available, as are the Anton paisley napkins from PB.
The brown stemmed goblets are from Pier 1 and are about 30 years old. The flatware was a gift from my brother and sister in law, a couple of years ago. Our everyday flatware was pathetic. These are still available from bed bath and beyond here. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for something inexpensive and sturdy with great style. Thanks P & D!!
My favorite inexpensive find were these linen napkins with ties from World Market. I added dusty miller, eucalyptus, heavenly bamboo and yarrow from my yard, with a pheasant feather and tied them up. They are available in a few other colors as well.
Are you doing any entertaining this fall? If so you will want to hop over and see what these other talented bloggers have in store for you.
