Farmers Union Pour House in Oldtown Salinas Decked Out for the Holidays

Those of you who follow this blog regularly know that my son and daughter in law opened a Craft Beer and Wine Bar in Oldtown Salinas.  They asked if I would be willing to decorate it for Christmas? Jenna (my sidekick) was home for Thanksgiving so we went to work the Sunday after Thanksgiving. If you haven’t tried Farmers Union it is a great time to stop in for a little holiday cheer! Come on In!!

The wreaths on the door are faux from Park Hill.  I added fresh cedar, eucalyptus, coffee berries, and bright green moss.  The bells are from Beverly’s and the ribbon is from K-mart!

We purchased two 9 ft faux Christmas Trees from Park Hill to adorn the entrance.  Colin cut the tops out of two galvanized tubs from Jenna’s wedding for the bases.

We wanted to meld the combination of metals and aged woods that are in the Pour House.  I used galvanized metal stencils large twig stars, and rusty jingle bell stars from Joann’s here, here, and here,  The galvanized stars and ornaments came from Michaels. The rusty bells came from Beverly’s.  The beautiful mercury glass ornaments were a steal from Orchard.  Lauren made the Farmers Union Ornaments out of coasters with a stamp.
Two banquettes flank the front doors we added greens and these fabulous bells from Orchard (we cleaned them out).  We wanted to keep the whole look organic and in tune with the decor of the space.
Above the other banquette on the antique french window, we added boughs of greens, bells and the fabulous ribbon from Kmart!
The seasonal boxes are filled with mini cypress, glitter pine cones and moss.
We placed miniature cypress trees on the tall bar tables for simplicity and convenience.
The clock face (original to the building) is adorned with Park Hill garlands adorned with more of those great bells from OSH.
The olive bucket is filled with more greens, those great OSH bells, and pine cones.
Every Christmas I reincarnate my mannequinn into some sort of Christmas beast. You can see other versions of her here, and here. This year we will call her “the bartender”.  We placed her below the shelves in the back that were adorned with pinecones, cotton and greens.

Her statement necklace is composed of wine corks, moss, and a little glitz. If you follow me on Instagram you have already seen this.  If you don’t please do!!

Her shirt, made of burlap, is adorned with a “farmers union” pin

Her skirt is composed of juniper, eucalyptus, feathers, branches, pinecones, and more K-mart ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed the Christmas Tour of Farmers Union Pour House.  On Saturday I will give you a tour of my home.  I am joining the 12 days of Christmas Bloggers Tour again this year hosted by Jenny of Evolution of Style and 11 Magnolia Lane. Wow Cindy…you're amazing! All the decor you did in Farmers Union is just gorgeous, I sure wish we could go there. It looks so warm and inviting and a place to hang out and have fun! Every detail is perfect, but that doesn't surprise me at all, you're so talented! I can't wait to hear how you and Mary Ann liked the home tour in
Napa. And yes, I sure would love to see that too!
    xoxo Gail

This looks fabulous, Cindy! You truly made the festive decor reflect the vibe of the space. That mannequin– with cork necklace –swoon!! So creative!
It's true, K-mart has historically had some fun Christmas decor. We used to hit the one at South Shore Lake Tahoe when we had a cottage up there. Fun ribbon find!
Happy Holidays to you and yours, Cindy!
    xx, Heather

So fabulous. I was looking at mini cypress trees in the garden centre a couple of days ago and thinking I would love them but where would I use them, now you have given me some ideas, thank you xx

Angie I never go to Kmart except at Christmas. I have learned after doing years of Berries and Branches that you can find things there sometimes!

Well, after the third day of dishwashing and cleaning up Thanksgiving, you decided to relax. It all looks wonderful. I think the "bartender" (my favorite, by the way) needs to open the wine and make you sit down and put your feet up and let you celebrate the pour in Pour House.
